SATURDAY, JUNE 24, 2006

It was another beautiful morning for our tennis round robin. The players drew cards for their partners. The results of the round robin are as follows;

First Round
George/Carmel defeated Larry/Lee 6 - 2.
Rudy/Louise defeated Zack/Harry 6 - 4

Second Round
George/Carmel defeated Rudy/Louise 6 - 5
Zack/Harry defeated Larry/Lee 6 - 4

Third Round
George/Carmel defeated Zack/Harry 6 - 5
Rudy/Louise defeated Larry/Lee 6 - 2

George and Carmel were undefeated today.

After tennis we adjourned to the deck for refreshments. We enjoyed the cherries brought by Louise, grapes and cheese brought by Carmel, oranges brought by Harry and oatmeal cookies brought by Lee. Beer and wine coolers were the liquid refreshments.

SATURDAY JUNE 17

It was another beautiful Saturday morning for our tennis round robin. Unfortunately it was marred by the "No-show" of Stephen leaving us with 7 people. The players that played are as follows:

Zack
Rudy
Larry
Carmel
Louise
Harry
Ingrid

One set of doubles was played each round with the remaining players doing their own thing such as Ingrid's downing of a Sierra Nevada during the second round. The results of the tennis were as follows:

Round 1- Carmel/Larry over Ingrid/Rudy 6-4
Roound 2- Harry/Larry over Louise/Zack 6-5
Round 3- Ingrid/Zack over Carmel/Rudy 3-2

Zack, Harry and Larry stayed after tennis and had some oranges that Harry brought and some beer.

SATURDAY JUNE 10

On a beautiful Saturday morning we kicked off playing for ratings with 8 guys. The teams were drawn and were as follows:

Zack & Steve
George and Richard
Rudy and Larry
Cyp and Bob F.

Rudy and Larry won all of their matches followed by Zack and Steve who won 2 of their matches.

After the matches the men adjourned to the deck where they partook of finger sandwiches , strawberries, mandarin oranges, chips and salsa, cheese, salami and crackers. All of that was washed down with MGD, Sierra Nevada and wine coolers.

A good time was had by all.
