Saturday - February 24, 2007

There was sushi on the table for refreshments, so you know that Bob S. was playing today. We had a break in the rain today so we were able to get our tennis in. Louise's flight was late in getting in last night and she did not show up for the tennis. Luckily Dave was there and was pressed into service as her substitute. Zack reshuffled two of the teams since Dave was playing instead of Louise.

The teams today were as follows:

Dave/Carmel
Zack/Justin
Harry/Bob
Rudy/Larry

Dave and Carmel easily won all three sets and took first. Zack and Justin took second by winning two of the three sets. The results were as follows.

ROUND ONE

Dave/Carmel over Rudy/Larry (6-1)
Zack/Justin over Harry/Bob (6-1)

ROUND TWO

Dave/Carmel over Zack/Justin (6-4)
Rudy/Larry over Harry/Bob (6-1)

ROUND THREE

Dave/Carmel over Harry/Bob (6-1)
Zack/Justin over Rudy/Larry (6-1)

The refreshments were plentiful and varied today. There was sushi, cheese and crackers, grapes, chips and salsa, orange slices, mango slices, blueberry bread, wine, and beer. A good time was had by all.
