Spring came a little early this year. The sun was out and it was warm. This made up for our being rained out last week.

The teams this week were selected in accordance with the player ratings and were as follows:

Harry and Louise
Larry and Carole
Zack and Tina
Justin and Carmel

Harry and Louise defeated the leading team of Justin and Carmel in the last round to prevent them from sweeping all three rounds. Justin and Carmel wound up in a tie for first with Zack and Tina with two wins out of three rounds. The results were as follows:

ROUND ONE

Justin/Carmel over Zack/Tina (6-0)
Larry/Carole over Harry/Louise (6-2)

ROUND TWO

Justin/Carmel over Larry/Carole (6-3)
Zack/Tina ove Harry/Louise (6-5)

ROUND THREE

Harry/Louise over Justin/Carmel (6-4)
Zack/Tina over Larry/Carole (6-3)

The refreshments matched the good weather in quality. There were two platters of smoked sausage and mustard. One of the platters had two different kinds of gourmet mustard from the Peju winery. Also with that was a platter of apple puffs and chardonnay wine from the Carneros. On the lighter side was a platter of brie, crackers and grapes. Orange slices were also available. Liquid refreshments were coke, beer and wine coolers.

Zack - 4.2
Louise - 3.5
Carmel - 4.4
Harry - 4.8
Carole - 4.3
Tina - 5
Justin - 4.1
