Saturday - November 3, 2007

It was a clear cold morning in November that warmed up slowly as we went along. Twelve people gathered to play the mixed up tennis.

The teams were selected by Zack and were as follows.

Randy/Terri
Zack/Linda
Harry/Louise
Larry/Tina
Rickey/Sabrina
Carmel/Sue

The team of Carmel/Sue was the only team to win in all three rounds. The teams of Randy/Terri and Harry/Louise won in two of the three rounds and were the runner ups.

The results were as follows.

ROUND ONE

Carmel/Sue over Rickey/Sabrina (6-3)
Larry/Tina over Zack/Linda (6-4)

ROUND TWO

Carmel/Sue over Larry/Tina (6-2)
Rickey/Sabrina over Randy/Terri (6-5)
Harry/Louise over Zack/Linda (6-5)

ROUND THREE

Carmel/Sue over Zack/Linda (6-5)
Randy/Terri over Larry/Tina (6-3)
Harry/Louise over Rickey/Sabrina (6-1)

The refreshments were varied and plentiful. Tina gave us a treat by bringing steak sandwiches. There were also cheese and crackers, apple with caramel sauce, grapes, chips, beer, wine, etc.
